What is going on with ABC?

First they fire Brooke Smith (Dr. Erica Hahn) from Grey's Anatomy because they no longer like her gay storyline, and now they cancel three shows mid-season? Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money are all ending! This cannot be a good sign for the network. I bet Kate Walsh (Dr. Addison Montgomery)is just hoping her new show, Private Practice, makes it through the season with good ratings in order to avoid getting axed for next season!

"Private Practice" must be doing good enough to keep...or they are doing everything they can to keep it. The word on the street is that it's moving time slots to be after Grey's Anatomy in January. By the way, the "street" is the Ellen show, and Kate Walsh was on this week.

Private Practice is the only show that has survived the 10-month hiatus, and still ranks as ABC's 4th highest show in the demo, which is where it counts.

ABC made a fatal error in not showing any more episodes of it's Wednesday night line-up once the strike ended. It has affected the ratings of all 3 shows, but Private Practice has held up the best, with the weakest show as a lead-in.

I think everything was hurting after the writers' strike, but it's especially unfortunate for those shows because they were all very creative new shows - I wish they would have gotten a better start!
