Did you ever wonder why?

I just got the following email from my adviser, I think it pretty much sums up my thesis.

"Hi Mandy,

When you were writing the thesis, did you wonder why am I doing this? As I am going through the thesis, I realize that >>> and many others theses are about half as long...datawise, and considerably less complicated.

I have only the discussion to go through, but I am pooped."

So was I.
